A group of 44 TY drama students from Coláiste and Gaelcholáiste Choilm traveled to London on the 8th of May accompanied by Ms. Hutchinson, Mr. Holohan, Ms. O'Leary and Father James. Students stayed in 'Clink 78' in King's Cross. The first night students traveled to the West End and saw the musical Billy Elliott. It was an amazing and emotional experience for all who attended. Thursday morning, students attended a singing and dancing workshop at Pineapple Dance Studios with a vocal coach and choreographer for Hairspray the Musical. Students thoroughly enjoyed this and found this very interesting. That night students saw 'People' at the National Theatre. On Friday morning, students traveled to Shakespeares Globe Theatre. They got a tour of the theatre and did an acting workshop with two Shakespearean actors.

A group of Colásite/ Gaelcholáiste Choilm students in Ballincollig along with their teachers raised an impressive €5,600 for Marymount Hospice and Make a Wish Foundation. The fashion show, dress sale and raffle took place on Saturday April 13th last in the Ballincollig Shopping Centre and proved incredibly successful.
Over 500 previously loved evening and party dresses (many still with tags) were donated by Cork ladies over the last month. Coláiste Choilm, Westward Cleaners in the Square, Curraheen Park Greyhound Stadium and AIB bank, Main Street, Ballincollig kindly provided dress drop off points for the public. Celebrities such as MTV presenter Laura Whitmore, RTE weather presenter Audrey McGrath and Brenda Jordan, wife of Irish film director Neil Jordan each donated a dress to The Dress Nest. The selection also included communion, bridal and debs wear and a pop-up shop operated from one of the unused units in the shopping centre for one day only.
Local retailers such as Pamela Scott, Lisa’s, Blue Fig, Rouge, The Moderne and Blush generously donated dresses from this season to the event which were on sale on the day.
Two short fashion shows took place to showcase some of the donated dresses and students from Coláiste Choilm modelled the selection. Sarina O’Day, racecaller at Curraheen Greyhound Park did the MC for the fashion shows while guest models included Miss Cork 2013 Jessica Hayes and Cork Hurler Stephen White.

The Take Me Out show took place onTuesday 9th April in the Culturlann. This was organised by Aoife Nic an Bhaird, Emer Scally and Declan Hyland (4th Year) and was a great success. €1097 was raised for the Brothers of Charity. Over 500 students from 1st / 2nd and 4th year students attended the show and enjoyed it thoroughly. There were 5 rounds with TY boys to win romantic dates to the Reel Cinema, followed by a very entertaining teachers round. The MC for the event was Mr. O Gallchóir who ran the show perfectly and definitely was the heart of the show.
