Some Roman Centurions from Rang Clar who attended the History talk given by The Romans Ireland a group based in Cork city. The aim of the organisation is to, as accurately as possible, show how a Roman soldier looked and operated in peacetime and in War. Romans Ireland also include Celt allies and Civilian Roman re-enactors and offer educational visits to schools.

I Mí na Márta 2012 d'imigh grúpa idirbhliana ar thuras ranga go Cnoc Phádraig i dteannta Iníon Ní Chéilleachair agus an tAthair Séamus. Thugadar cuairt ar Chnoc Mhuire agus ansin tugadh aghaidh ar Chnoc Phádraig i lár na doininne agus na soinnine. B'éacht agus gaisce é barr an chnoic a bhaint amach. Ar fhilleadh thar n-ais dóibh bhuaileadar isteach go Muraisc, ag bun an chnoic, áit a bhfuil Long Gorta mar shiombal den chruatan a sháraítear.

The Sports Awards on Wednesday night honoured the many students who have excelled in their chosen sport and celebrated the central role of sport in the school – the talent and dedication of so many of our students is inspiring. The time, skill and enthusiasm invested by the coaches and mentors is truly recognised and appreciated. Well done to all involved and especially to the PE department for organising such a wonderful and worthwhile event.

Tosnóidh Scrúduithe an tSamhraidh 2012 don 1ú, 2ú agus 5ú Bliain ar an 28ú Bealtaine agus críochnóidh siad ar an Déardaoin 31ú Bealtaine.
In-house Summer Examinations for 1st, 2nd and 5th Years start on Monday 28th May and conclude on Thursday 31st May.

Rang Éadaoin's visit to New Garda Station |

Recently Rang Eadaoin (3rd Year) visited the new Ballincollig Garda Station. This tour was part of the action project that the class decided to do for Civic Social and Political Education. Garda Sergeant Brian F Murphy kindly gave the group a talk on the work of the Garda Siochana and then the group was given a full tour of the new facility.As all areas within the station aren't fully up and running yet the students were afforded the opportunity to see interview rooms and the holding cells as well as other areas within the station

Well done to the Science Department on their great success at Sci-Fest on Friday 20th at C.I.T. We had 2 category winners , 4 out of 8 special award winners and 1 poster winner. All participating students were delighted with the whole experience.

1st & 2nd year students: Students must return books not being used next year by May 25th (subject teachers will inform them). All other books to be kept at home during holidays. 3rd year students: Subject text books must be returned each day during the state exam for that particular subject. TY: Some students still have to return books. Please do so immediately. LOST OR DAMAGED BOOKS: Must be replaced with a new copy and exact edition. If out of print,€10 payable to Coláiste Choilm by 25th of May
