Absence

Roll Call occurs at 9.40 and at 2.40 daily (morning only on Wednesday). Notes in the dialann explaining any absence must be presented at this time.These rolls are digitally scanned and recorded. A Text Messaging service is available to Gaurdians on payment of a €5 fee annualy.

Each period of absence must be explained by parents by a letter or message to the class tutor. Contact should be made not later than the second day of the absence period. Parents are asked not to arrange holidays during term time particularly in the case of examination students.

Appointments- appointments should be arranged outside school time wherever possible. When this is not possible pupils must obtain the permission of the Year Head or Deputy Principals and must sign out at main office and must sign back in on return.

Physical education - if it is necessary for a pupil to be excluded from physical education a letter from parents is required stating the reasons. A medical certificate is required if a pupil wishes to be excused for a longer period.

Pupils arriving late must report immediately to the school office and their names entered in the late book.
