Homework

School Policy on Homework

(1) From the beginning of First Year each student is expected to establish a homework routine.
(2) Each student is expected to keep a record of home work in the Dialann. It is expected that there will be an entry after each subject, each day - whether the teacher has assigned written work or not. Parents are expected to check the Dialann and sign it each day.
(3) It is expected, by the school, that each student should spend the following length of time on homework/study each day:
First Year 1.5 - 2hrs
Second Year 2hrs
Third Year 2.5 - 3hrs
Fourth Year 2.5hrs
Fifth Year 2.5hrs
Leaving Cert 3hrs

NOTE: Leaving Cert - A minimum of three hours. Weekend study and revision is also essential. Exam students should not be employed in part-time work.
