Sport: Active Schools Awards 2006 (Page 1 of 2)

A delegation of 20 students and 7 P.E. teachers competed in the Active School National finals, held in The Helix on May 9th 2006. Coláiste Choilm was one of six finalist schools selected by the Department of Education and Science in recognition of the synergy between the PE and extra-curricular sports programmes in the school. All aspects of the school’s entry were complemented for their high standard, a written submission, a project display of the 14 extra-curricular sports accompanied by articles and a DVD, exemplars of 4th year student PE, portfolios and the 7 strands of the PE programme, interviews and a physical activity demonstration.
