Front row: Con Moran, Hugh O Connor and Donal Òg Coleman

Three Colàiste Choilm students attended a model EU Council debate in Dublin Castle on the 1st of March 2016. As part of the debate, the students represented the EU member 'Slovakia'. Con Moran, Donal Òg Coleman and Hugh O Connor (T.Y.) were tasked with the challenge of adopting Slovakia's stance on the very topical issue of 'European Migration' and had to debate wether or not Slovakia has the resources to welcome immigrants into their country. The three Transition Year students exercised their public speaking and debate writing skills on the day.
